Heart Walk 2010 – 09.19.10
Come and show your support for the credit union and Sharp Healthcare as we participate in the Heart Walk at Balboa Park on September 19, 2010. Health & Education Expo - 09.22.10
Attention Carlsbad City Employees! Cabrillo will be participating in the Health & Education Expo sponsored by the Spice of Life on September 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the park across the street from The City of Carlsbad Faraday Center. Look for our table where Carlsbad Branch Manager Mike Smith is sure to be raffling off some great prizes!

Member Brandon Blanco Winner of $1,500
The credit union held a video contest in July. Members were asked to “pitch” the credit union’s auto loan for the chance to have 6 months of car payments paid by the credit union (up to $1,500). We received great entries! Of course, we let you cast the final vote and Brandon Blanco was awarded $1,500. Thank you to all who participated. Congratulations Brandon!

El Cajon Border Patrol Golf Tournament – 08.20.10
The El Cajon Memorial Golf Tournament was first held in 2001 in order to raise money for a memorial to be erected at the El Cajon Border Patrol Station in the names of fallen Agents Stephen C. Starch and Stephen M. Sullivan. This year’s event occurred Friday, August 20, 2010, at the Riverwalk Golf Course. The credit union showed support through sponsorship of the very special event.

Law Enforcement Olympic Games Donation – August 2010
Cabrillo made a donation to the San Diego Sector for the Law Enforcement Olympic Games, which were held during August in Los Angeles.

New BBQ for Border Patrol Shooting Range – August 2010
Cabrillo donated a new BBQ to the agents at the Border Patrol shooting range, located near Lindberg Field. Retired USBP Agent, Andy Jones, 30-year credit union member, who works at the shooting ranch was very appreciative of the gift.

Fundraiser for Agent Christopher Mason – July 2010
Border Patrol Agent, Christopher Mason was recently diagnosed with cancer. Everyone is behind Agent Mason as he fights this battle. In an effort to show support, the credit union made a donation to the fundraiser held in his honor in July.

Memorial Account Established for Agent Andy Perez
San Diego Sector lost Agent Andy Perez who was with the USBP San Clemente station. A memorial account was established in his name for his family. A donation was made on behalf of the credit union.

Over-the-Line Tournament – Fundraiser for Rady Children’s Hospital
Cabrillo sponsored two teams at this year’s Over-the-Line Tournament put on by the California Credit Union League San Diego & Imperial Chapter July 24-25 at Fiesta Island. Two teams, Robin’s Batmen and Pac-it-Heads, were made up of Cabrillo members who enjoyed a sunny day on the island to benefit Rady Children’s Hospital.
